Sebastián Duque Venegas

Senior Associate

Sebastian is a lawyer from Universidad de los Andes, admitted to practice in 2014, with studies in Financial Law at the same university and candidate for a Master's Degree in Public Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Was member of the Firm from 2013 to 2016 and rejoined in 2018. He is currently a member of different areas of the Firm, including projects, administrative law and public procurement, financial law, commercial and corporate law and energy and natural resources.

Sebastian has acquired relevant experience in the structuring and development of public infrastructure projects, most notably in the road, railway and social infrastructure sectors. He also has experience in the financing of transportation projects, privatization of public entities, and general advisory in public and finance law.

Specifically, Sebastian participated in the structuring of more than five toll-road projects in Antioquia, as part of the Autopistas de la Montaña project of the fourth generation (4G) of road concessions program in Colombia; in the structuring of Bogotá’s First Metro Line and the structuring of Cundinamarca’s railway (Regiotram). He is also part of the legal team advising the Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional in the public financing of Bogotá’s First Metro Line and Transmilenio Soacha Phases II and II projects.
